‘English Weather’ is a mixture of Taliraw’s authentic spoken word, vocals and cello playing that sits alongside lofi hip-hop beats, bass grooves, string sections and flashes of jazz influences. The central theme throughout is the challenges she has faced since relocating to the UK in 2020. It chronicles the intensity of living life abroad on her own. Trying to find herself throughout her everyday life, a variety of challenging situations or even on her fourth pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Each song contains multiple stories and the ‘tapes’ interludes between each set the scene and allow us more insight into the artist that is Taliraw.
